Alisa Acosta has a talent for complex project management and strategic thinking that drives profitability and is a champion of innovation for business planning and implementation. As the owner of A.R. Acosta Ltd., Alisa manages day to day operations, strategic planning and business development.
Raised in Southern California, Alisa manages A.R. Acosta, Ltd. from Reno, Nevada. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management and a M.S. in Hotel Administration. Ms. Acosta is a certified Project Management Professional and Microsoft Certified Trainer and has 8 years of teaching experience at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Reno in the Business College, Information Technology department.
Alisa Acosta, CEO and President, has owned and operated many different businesses. After launching her career with McDonnell Douglas Corporation as a Systems Analyst, she proceeded to diversify into a variety of businesses with a focus on project management and consulting. While she acquired her MS degree, Alisa taught technical software and project management classes at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. She concurrently operated a consulting business, offering business planning and private placements, process reengineering and leveraged IT implementations, as well as strategic planning. Alisa’s consulting business served many different industries such as construction, entertainment industry, retail shops, restaurants and local newspapers.
Relocating to teach at UNR in Reno, she consulted for Microsoft Licensing in Reno, implementing and refining their Project Management Office, managing worldwide projects, international training and mentorship programs, as well as establishing Microsoft Global as a PMI-Certified Registered Education Provider.
Prior to initiating AR Acosta Ltd, and throughout the time she was acquiring her education, she owned and managed a facility/property management business for 18+ years focusing on commercial facilities, residential resort properties, single and multi-family homes, small motels, commercial properties including single and strip offices, retail stores, and land. Maintenance of these properties included customized information management systems including a computerized maintenance management system and front end accounting systems. Disaster recovery and customized facility design-build renovations were offered as part of her customer service offerings.
At A.R. Acosta Ltd. Ms. Acosta is responsible for day to day operations, financial reporting and planning, business development, staff oversight, estimating and contracts. She has a strong talent for complex project management and strategic thinking that drives profitability and is a champion of innovation for business planning and implementation.
